As of now there is no cure for the devastating
and disabling disease of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) affecting 2.5 million people
worldwide , including 400,000 Americans and I was told by the
neurologist that I had MS.
I thought to myself "How did I get it? When did I get it?
Where did I get it? Is there someone I can talk to about it? Is there a
support group around here? I live in Southwest Virginia now and I don't know
who to talk to. I NEED HELP!!! IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE I CAN TALK TO?"
YES, now there is a MS Support
Group in Wise County, VA and our
motto is "NOT A MOMENT TO SOON". We had our first meeting
back in
March 2008. Anyone who has MS, husbands, wives, children, girlfriends,
boyfriends, carepersons, friends of those who have MS and anyone who
wants to join us On every fourth Thursday of each month at
6:00p.m. at Stevens Chapel Church in Wise, VA, is very welcome.

The National Institute of Health in the US estimates that there are
approximately 250,000 to 400,000 cases in the US where 200 new cases get
diagnosed everyday.
This
website is a combination of
MS websites. I asked myself "Why go out and make a
new wheel when the wheel is already made and it works". There are a lot of great
websites out there which deal with MS and I have put some links or
their information on this website.
If you know a website
you would like to have on this site e-mail the Director or the
webmaster.
please, and we will look
at the site and put it up if we agree with you it is a website which deals
with MS.
We thank those people who
have taken the time to develop the websites we have gotten the information from or link to. We are not
affiliated with any of them. We are our own separate support group.
