3. What Kind of Doctor Do I See If I Think I Have MS?

 

Your primary care physician may be able to diagnose MS by eliminating other conditions. MS, however, is a complex neurological disorder, meaning it affects the nervous system. Doctors trained in this area of medicine are called neurologists. A neurologist or a neurologist specializing in MS likely will have more experience in detecting the signs and symptoms of the disease and better knowledge of current treatments.
